À l'Hôpital Barrie Memorial d'Ormstown, résident de Huntingdon, le 2 novembre 2025, à l`âge de 91 ans, est décédé l’abbé Gabriel Clément, curé de la paroisse Saint-Joseph de Huntingdon, depuis 37 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil ses frères; Emilien (Rose-Hélène), Gaëtan (Claudette), Jean-Paul (Geneviève), Gilbert (Claudette) et François (Monia) ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces, parents et amis. Les visites se tiendront en l'église Saint-Joseph de Huntingdon, jeudi 13 novembre, de 13 h à 17 h, et de 19 h à 21 h, et le vendredi 14 novembre, dès 12 h 30. Les funérailles suivront à 14 h 30. Gabriel fut professeur au Collège de Valleyfield, conférencier et curé de plusieurs paroisses, dont celle de Saint-Joseph à Huntingdon pendant les 37 dernières années. Il était un passionné de la vie de Jésus qui l'a inspiré dans toutes les dimensions de sa vie. C'était un homme attachant, facile d'approche et apprécié pour sa grande ouverture aux autres et sa capacité d'écoute. Aîné d’une famille nombreuse qu’il chérissait, il rejoint ses parents Albert et Cécile ainsi que sa sœur Louise (André).
At the Ormstown Barrie Memorial Hospital, resident of Huntingdon, on November 2, 2025, at the age of 91, passed away Father Gabriel Clément, beloved pastor of Saint-Joseph Parish, Huntingdon, where he faithfully served for 37 years.
Gabriel was a professor at the Collège de Valleyfield, a lecturer, and pastor of several parishes, including Saint-Joseph Parish in Huntingdon during the past 37 years. He was deeply passionate about the life of Jesus, which inspired every aspect of his own life. He was a warm and approachable man, appreciated for his openness to others and his remarkable ability to listen. Eldest of a large family that he cherished, he joins his parents Albert and Cécile, as well as his sister Louise (André).
He is survived by his brothers Emilien (Rose-Hélène), Gaëtan (Claudette), Jean-Paul (Geneviève), Gilbert (Claudette), and François (Monia), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will remember him with great affection and gratitude.
Visitation will be held at Saint-Joseph Church, Huntingdon, on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Friday, November 14, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. The funeral Mass will follow at 2:30 p.m., with interment in the Huntingdon Saint-Joseph Cemetery.
