In 1951 Mr. Rodrigue Montpetit and his wife Lucienne Lacroix established the Rodrigue Montpetit Funeral home. At that time, the ambulance services were associated to the funeral services,as they were until 2009. The funeral home has embarked on many changes and upgrades over the years to better serve the needs of families. Over the years, the company has continued to evolve in the pursuit of a courteous and high quality service to the population.

the Rodrigue Montpetit Funeral home was equipped with an outside columbarium, the first one in the southwest. The columbarium is situated at the St-Joseph parish Catholic Church cemetery in Huntingdon. In 1994 and 2004  new units are added to the existing columbarium.


Jacques MontpetitJacques Montpetit, son of Rodrigue Montpetit, followed in the footsteps of his father by acquiring his college degree in Thanatologist technique from Rosemont College in Montreal. Jacques had gradually involved himself in the funeral business. He proudly assisted his father in pursuing the same professional quality services.

In the same year, Jacques and Rodrigue Montpetit associated ; the funeral home was then known under the name of Rodrigue Montpetit and Son Inc. Funeral Home

Rodrigue Montpetit withdrew and Jacques Montpetit took over assisted by his wife, Claudie Rémillard. Jacques carries on the dedication to funeral service ensuring that the reputation earned by his parents continues to flourish.


The funeral home Rodrigue Montpetit and Son Inc offered a new service point to its clientele at 1580, rte 132 in Saint-Anicet.


Jacques Montpetit purchased G.S. Kelly Inc Funeral home located at 19, Lake Street in Huntingdon.
